Do they deliver mail to for rent houses?
Ya know, those houses that people used to live in. They move, and then the house goes up for rent. Does mail still get sent to that house? Or would the owner/land lord of the house have the mail directed to go somewhere else?
So like, if I were to mail a letter to that house, would it ever arrive?
Answers :
yea i live in a rental house and the mail gets sent to me at that house
yes! unless the letterbox is sealed up,or a notice behind the glass on the front window!
it would. you can have your mail forwarded for 6 months at USPS.com...it's only a dollar, and you get a best buy gift certificate for doing it.
If its addressed to the people who used to live there it well most likely get forwarded to there new address as long as they filed a moving slip at the post office =]
It makes no difference to the post office. How would they know that a house is a rental or someone recently purchased it.
The person in the house would have to tell the postman if they are renting or buying.
Yes the postal service would deliver mail to a house that is rented.
If the former occupant want mail delivered to their new address after they move they have to give the mail man a change of address form provided by the postal services.
I hope this has been of some use to you, good luck.
"FIGHT ON"
As long as the old tenant put in a forwarding address their mail will be forwarded to the address they provide.
When people move (whether they were renting or owning) they generally notifiy the post office of their new address so that after they move their mail goes to the new address, not the old one. However, I am renting a home and the some of the previous tenants' mail still comes here. They obviously did not notify the magazines/newspapers that they subscribe to that they have moved.
