Many northerners spend a few winter months in Florida staying in rentals in mobile home parks. There must be thousands of these available, but we've had no luck searching the internet for them.

I am looking to relocate to FLorida because I cant take the cold. I have been there many, many times so I am pretty sure I want to do it. I have some spines problems that the Maryland weather makes worse. Anyway, does anyone know of the best way I can find some townhouse, house or trailer rentals? Im flexible on the area as long as the people are nice. Just dont want any super snobby areas.

i'm planning on taking a vacation in orlando florida at a home rental and i'm just wondering how it works, do they charge per person per week or do they charge per person per night i'm confuse because i was looking through the internet and it doesnt give much info on how they charge, if anyone ever rented a vacation home in florida let me know how it excactly how it work and how do they charge because i really want to go, i'm planning on going in april with 8 people and let know how much i'll proberly spend i'm paying everyones way

• Moving to Florida but where do I stay at until I get a home?

I am 32 with a 15 year old son. I live in Montgomery County Maryland (WAY WAY WAY more expesive than West Palm Beach FL) and I want to move to West Palm Beach FL Jan 08. I will have about 6-10 grand when I am ready to move. My question is with me living in Maryland and wanting to move to Florida how can I look at apartments or rental homes in Florida while still livng in MD. I cant catch a plane everytime I see a home that looks like a nice rental. I was thinking of getting a vacation rental home for a month and hopefully find a place to live in that amount of time. Any suggestions?

I am able to leave the cold weather for two months and would like to rent a motor home for the drive to Florida and back. This would be from the middle of January to the middle of March. However, most I have seen are way over my budget. Anyone have any suggestions for something inexpensive?

•Voting Question: Florida Home Rental Law - abandoned rental property and broke lease?

In Florida law 83.595 part 2 - it states if a landlord retakes possession of the property they must make a "good faith" effort to relet the property.
What if they retake possession but do not make any effort to relet??? The lease was set to end September 31st and we left on July 20th.
The property manager listed the property on Craigslist then a week later it was gone and there has been no other ads anywhere (CL, newspaper, etc) since then. There are no For Rent signs and the house is overgrown by the yard which is clearly unkept. I believe she fired the management company since I no longer hear from them and she is sending me letters. It almost appears she herself has abandoned the property and is not demanded money from me for the remainder of the lease.
Why did I leave and break my lease??? Due to very frequent verbal harassment, almost a physical altercation and frequent calls to the cops and code enforcement by many of the neighbors on the street made for a very unpleasant and inconvenient living situation. Each time the city or cops came by all they did was say hello and leave because each complaint was UNFOUNDED. One of the cops even said "I don't know why we even keep coming out here because you all are clearly doing no wrong".
