I have read reports regarding the drug Celexa Isomer, and how it can slow down your bodies abiility to process alcohol. I have also been told that even with out alcohol, Lexapro can give a BAC reading (something to do with the chemical reactions that occure) I just need to know if there is any truth in this or not... I heard you shouldn't drink with some antidepressants (MAOIs) because it can cause a stroke, but Lexapro isn't a MAOI.
I don't drink very often, and it's not like I'm going to get completely trashed or anything.
What would happen if I drank?

• Lexapro & Alcohol could be fatal?

I read that some people who are on lexapro and drink alcohol, the liver has a hard time metabolizing both and it could be fatal. Why isn't this on the Lexapro Website as A warning? It just says Alcohol isn't the best thing to do, but NO interactions with them both. That sucks because im on Lexapro and I like to social drink.
