• Camper van in the U.S. month of September?

I am planning a trip to and all over the U.S. during the month of September. The trip will be from Denver CO to Orlando FL, or the other way around.
A camper van (small motor home) would be the ideal means of transportation. Does anybody know or have contact with a serious, reputable camper van rental agency, that offers good ( = cheap ) prices?

Insteas of using Motels and Hotels for accom. We intend to rent a 4 berth camper van for a long trip up the west coast, taking in Monkey mia, Broom, Derby and finally ending our journey in Halls Creek, where we will visit Wolf Ceeek Crater and come out alive.
Our trip will last about 3 weeks and most of it will be on the road. Any tips on how to do this trip effectively and cheaply, and approx. how much money should I budget for the van? The reason we are taking a van is so we can stop off when the sceenery is best and stay as long as we like. Is travelling in WA safe and what safeguards should I be looking at? Any other practical advice from experienced travellers welcome. If you know of a place that a camper would be vunerable to theft or towns that are unsafe. This kind of info is appreciated. Planning a road trip, and the hippie in me has always wanted to ride in the car that so many before my time have traversed in. I found a website regarding 'vw camper van rental', exactly what i want...except it's based in california. There has to be something in good ol michigan, but i cant seem to find it. It would be great to ride, as it could hold everything that might be needed for the trip, as well as any friends that want to come.

• How to refute a 'no signs of forced entry' claim by an insurer?

My girlfriend and her friend were travelling around North Island NZ when there rental camper-van was broken into and all there belongings were stolen, including; clothes, money and passports.
The insurers are refusing to pay anything as there are 'no signs of a forced entry' (I assume from the police). They are confident they locked the van but it's not central locking. Is there anyway they could get the insurers to pay out?

I am going camping in manning park july 3,4,5, returning thurs the 6th. So far, 2 adults and 4 kids. We all have camp gear but the kids grandparents said they would like to go. I can buy cots, tents and bedding but because of their age, I would rather they had something a bit better.
RV rental places have so many hidden costs, I would rather not go there, unless someone knows one in the fraser valley that is good...
