• Is Century 21 real estate any good, in terms of finding an apartment in Astoria, NY?
|
I'm looking for an apartment in Astoria NY, which seems to be the hotspot, because I can't find anything. I have until July 15th, I've seen some postings but most of them are through brokers. I've also seem some really good listings on Century21's website, and I'm wondering if I should give it a shot. Does anyone know any good sites that may have listings for astoria with no brokers. Time is going and my progress is so slow. Help!!

• Real estate agents, need help on prospecting ?
|
I am a new real estate agent and I have learned that FSBO's and expireds are the best way to get business. How do you go about getting those expired listings? I plan on just going out and knocking on their door this way they will know I am serious and not just mailing them a generic letter and hoping for the best. What do I take with me? CMA material or what? By the way I work with Century 21. Thanks in advance

• hows the real estate market in anaheim?
|
im moving somewhere close to anaheim this feb. whats the average lisiting price there?
also thinking of switching over to century 21. what are your thoughts of the more well known companies down there. I get my deals from open houses to the company with more listings the better.
i knew someone would have a smart ass comment like that. just answering the question would suffice. no need for stupid comments.

• Real Estate motivation?
|
I am 20 years old and currently a realtor. I will keep my story brief because I can only type so much.
I started working with remax 08/06. I was VERY motivated! I got 2 listings after 2 months. My manager told me to give her half of the comission because she was going to help, I accepted. I had both houses in escrow by Jan, and I noticed that she would never help me when I asked her too. I started getting mad because after all she was getting half. I went through escrow on my own on both transactions, and things went well. I decided that I wasnt going to give her half of my commision, since she did not help me. I gave her $500 for helping me before with some paperwork. She really killed my motivation around jan-feb 07. I left companies and joined century 21 04/07.
I have no been able to get myself together since I left! I dont know what happen to me. I just feel like the fire in me isnt their. I have not been to training since I started with century 21.How can i motivate myself
I went from being the top agent from the new salespersons to nothing. I also feel like im too young at times. Should I wait, finish school and then get back into realestate? I am confused!
it really has nothing to do with money. I live at home. my split is a little better at c21. I find it very hard to get back on track. I got all my business cards, for sale signs ready. I just find it hard starting all over again.

•Voting Question: Should I work with a big real estate agency or a smaller one?
|
My wife and I are trying to buy a home, most likely a foreclosure. We're not investors, meaning we'll be getting traditional financing for a place we'll reside in ourselves. That being said, we're not sure whether to go with a bigger agency, like RE/MAX, Century 21, etc, or to go with a smaller agency and use an exclusive buyers agent.
Perhaps the bigger agency would have access to a place before hit the market, a pocket listing, that we'd be able to purchase quickly. On the other hand, would we get the attention from these agents who have listings all over the city that our smaller agent is able to provide???
Please help!
