My boyfriend and I are planning a long weekend at a Florida beach in late September. Looking for a hotel/resort on the Gulf side (prettier beaches) where we can sit under an umbrella on the beach and have someone deliver tropical drinks to us (or at least have an outside bar we could walk up to). We'd like to keep it around $150/night. It doesn't sound that difficult, but we haven't had much luck finding a location that fits the bill. Any suggestions?

We are taking our kids on vacation in the first week of April for their spring break. We want to go to a Florida beach with temps in at least the lower 80's, and plenty of sunshine every day. Avoiding the crazy college spring-breakers would be a plus, but I'm not going to let that drive me away from a great vacay spot either. Never been to Florida before, so I'm in heavy research mode. Any ideas?

My husband and I want to go for a few days to Florida in early April. We will have our baby with us (he will be 8 months old). We would like to go somewhere warm enough for swimming at that time of year. Also we would like it to not be too crowded or busy, but not completely secluded either. We prefer no high rises nearby and no vehicles on the beach. Any recommendations? thanks.

We were at Manatee beach in Florida and close to the shore were these yellow leech like organisms that made a flapping motion. It felt like a booger, and was small.

I live in south florida but the beaches in Miami, just not good, Anyone know of any key west or south florida beaches comparable to the beautiful beaches in the bahamas (paradise island). Just need a nice beach day getaway and dont mind driving...
Ok south beach beaches and paradise island (bahamas beaches) are not the same. Bahamas has crystal clear blue beaches like most beaches found in the Caribbean, south beach absolutely does not.
