I worry about everything. From getting hurt,elevators, a loved one getting hurt Pretty much all the what ifs. I was ok until I lost a very very close friend. eversince then I can't seem to stop worring about everything. I also had a pretty intense migrane a few months ago that scared me very much and I worry about lights hitting my eyes wrong and one starting. My doctor gave me 10 mg of lexapro and told me to take 1/2 a day. I'm scared to take it. Does anyone know if Lexapro is safe or not. I have never taken meds before. I want to start it tomm but I'm freaking out.

i nearly passed out driving home because i got really lightheaded and dizzy. my eyes couldn't focus and my head was pounding. i figured i was just hungry or something but when i took it again this morning, the same thing happened about an hour later. could this just be because i'm not used to it & the side effects will wear off after the first few days? or should i see a doctor?

I have been taking 10 mg of Lexapro since September 2009. I have now decided to wean off of it and my doctor is having me take 5 mg for a week, 5 mg every other day for a week and then stop. I have been reading the side effects of stopping Lexapro and it's kind of freaking me out. Dizziness, brain "zapping" and upset stomach? Should I expect these or any symptoms with my weaning plan?

I decided to get back on since counseling and other methods didn't work for me. I just started taking them today, at 10 mg, and I feel totally out of out (not in a good way) and really emotional... and I was wondering how long this is going to last for... Will it go away once I start taking it more or at least not be so bad?

I have been taking lexapro 20-mg for OCD. It has really helped. Unfortunately, I seem to be experiencing some sexual side effects. It takes a lot longer than normal to reach ejaculation and my sex drive is not what it once was.
Would switching to 10-mg be likely to help?

I have been taking 10 mg of Lexapro (Escitalopram) daily for less than two weeks. I consulted my doctor and we decided that I would stop taking the drug, mainly due to sexual side effects. How long do you think it will take for my libido to return to normal?

My doctor recently put me on Lexapro 10 mg a day for general anxiety disorder....it seems I always have a stomach discomfort! and lots and lots and lots of belching and yawning im always always yawnning what are your side effects! bloating is bad for me too my doctor said I might have irratable bowel syndrome from all the stress my body has been under

I started taking Lexapro yesterday (10 mg) and took one again this morning, and all this afternoon I have had a very dry mouth, a funky nasty taste in my throat and I have been burping a lot. Are these even side effects? Only the dry mouth was listed on the sample packet from my doctor. Is it possible to have side effects this quickly? Do the side effects go away?
