• Help! My friend is having side effects from 20mg Lexapro (Antidepressant). What can he do at home?

It was his first time taking it and he says he is all red in the face and his eyes are bloodshot and he is nauseous/stomach feels sick

I took Lexapro 20mg for a few months, but just found out I am pregnant. So, of course I quit cold turkey. My head feels like it is swimming and I am dizzy most of the day. I know this is a normal side effect, but it is HORRIBLE since it is mixed with morning sickness! So, any idea how long it will last?

hi,
I've been taking lexapro, 20mg for about a month and a week now. just recently, i dont know if it has anything to do with it, i didnt take them for two days.
The first day i didnt take it, I was a little jumpy but not enough to notice this as being a side effect.
(first day), for "sinco demayo" or whatever some of his old friends came over, we had drinks ect. and i later found out that two of his friends did coke in his bathroom, when i found out i bursted into his room, and said i know coke is going on in this house and will not tollerate it. The two that did the coke left, without saying a word. so i kind of broke up the party.
(day two) Ever since i woke up i felt so enraged,at those two for having the nerve to do that, and not even ask, at least. I was so enraged all i could talk about what "fuhking someone up" and i really was ready to do that...my roomate hates violence so he told me to stop talking about it. i did, later my anger/anxiety (in the chest) ->

Built up so much that i got home and flipped out, for real this time, my anxiety was so bad i felt a pain in my chest, i kept talking about fighting those two. After my roomate told me hes going to his room and to leave him alone i brought up other issues that had nothing to do with the previous night just roomate issues... and blew up on him.
i would never touch "him", i love him as my friend. but i flipped out.. for real.
i threw everything off the counter when he closed his door and screamed to try and let some anger out without kicking my way through the wall to the next apt. I screemed hurtful stuff to him through the door and felt so aggressive and confused at the same time i beleive if someone would have slightly offended me in that moment i would have put them in the hospital, for months.
i ended up breaking down and crying eventually.. my roomate came out and we talked..he told me " i told you not to take lexapro, it made me crazy"whats going on? help

• Lexapro side effects?

In the past (before I was pregnant), I was on 20mg daily of Lexapro for just under 2 years. During my pregnancy, I stopped.
Now I am back on 15mg daily (which seems to be working fine), and I have been back on it for just about 5 months.
I am taking it for GAD (general anxiety disorder) & depression.
I have NOT had side effects such as: nausea, sleeplessness, anorgasmia, etc.
I am generally more happy! But, these are wierd things I've noticed, anybody know if these symptoms/side effects are normal, or even from the meds?: hard to concentrate, zone out easily, either really talkative or not at all, some lightheadedness, wierd dreams/nightmares...
Any insight is appreciated :)

i take 20mg of lexapro every morning and i usually get no side effects, recently i have not taken lexapro in about 2 weeks because i had no refills, the first time i went off lexapro and decided to go back i had really bad headaches, dizziness nausea, etc, and i dont want to experience these symptoms again, is there anything i can do so when i start lexapro again i dont get any side effects??

• Lexapro - side effects and starting dosage ?

I am curious from ppl who have used it , what negative side effects you had and what dosage you would recommend to start on (and if you worked up to a higher one).
My doc had started me on 20mg and it _seemed_ like it made me have some heart palpitations so I quit taking it after 3 days.. but I was already getting some of these missed beats because of my anxiety/panic condition, which is the main problem, not depression.
So Im curious if it likely did or did not effect my heartbeat and if maybe I could try it again at a smaller dosage initially. Just after other ppls experiences with it really I guess.

• i was on 10mg of Lexapro and now i just started 20mg. How long until i feel the higher dose and side effects?

I have been on Lexapro for almost a year and i just started the higher dose tonight par my doctors order, and i was wondering if there would be a several week peroid until i felt the benifit like when i first started it, or would it be sudden because it was already in my body.
and should i expect the same side effect as i felt when i first started it such as tiredness? any other info is great!

I recently started taking 20mg of Lexapro and notice that I need to use the restroom a lot more frequently. My fluid intake hasn't changed - has anyone else experienced anything similar?
