• Getting use to Lexapro which dosing?

I just started taking Lexa pro on Tuesday. I was prescribed 10mg. The first day was rough, I felt like a real space cadet. So I cut the pill in half in, in hopes to getting my body adjusted to the medicine. It has been a few days, and I am wondering should I go ahead and try the full dosing? I just don't want to have the spacey feeling again.

Anyone on Lexapro? How does it make you feel and how do I know if I need to up my dose from 10mg to 20 mg?? It is working as far as: I do not get aggravated as easily but I just seem depressed sometimes. I had a hysterectomy this past April at the age of 29 so its just makes me sad sometimes. Any advice?

Its been over 4 weeks and i generally didnt feel a difference in my mood when i went from 10mg to 20mg. my doctor said if it doesnt work i should stop taking that dosage. Why do you think my mood isnt changing?

So I took my first 2.5mg dose of lexapro today and after doing some research on some of the horrible withdrawal experiences, I decided that I would rather not take the drug at all. I am seeing my doctor tomorrow but was just wondering if anyone on here has had experience with lexapro and if it is possible to get withdrawal from a single dose. Thanks for any help!

I heard that no one stays on Lexapro a lifetime because the seratonin eventually runs out.

I am on 10mg of lexapro and I usually take my medicine in the morning but slept in today. When I woke up I went to work out. I dont remember if I took my medicine before I worked out or not but after I worked out I took a pill. Now I am worried that I took my medicine twice. What will happen if I did?

I've been on Lexapro for about 4 weeks and my anxiety became less intense in the first week. It was completely gone in the 2nd and 3rd week. I was very surprised and happy! Now that I'm' in the 4th week, I am feeling the anxiety again but it's still very mild which is an improvement. I am on 5mg a day and my doc says I can up it to 10 whenever I feel I need to.

I'm taking 20mg of Lexapro daily and if a miss a day if feel like I become irritatable and anxious(sort of how I felt before taking it). My pharm. says it doesn't work way but it definately seems that way. Has anyone else experienced this or is it "in my head"?

I was on a 10mg dose of Lexapro for a year, and then stopped gradually by taking one every other day, then not at all. It's been almost 2 weeks since I stopped, and I don't feel too bad, but I frequently get "brain shocks." Anybody get these before? How long are they supposed to last?

I have taken lexapro for about 3 years now 20 mg a day well I forgot to get my script filled yesterday And was gonna do it today and forgot again what I was wondering is there any manor side effects from that and do I have anything major to worry about
