I took 10 mg Lexapro once a day for four days. I stopped "cold turkey" due to side effects. It's been two days off it yet I still feel side effects. I understand it has a long half-life, but I was wondering how long it'd take for the drug to clear my system completely after four 10 mg doses taken once daily.

I’m sorry if this is graphic, but I really need to ask this question. I just recently had sex with a guy I’ve been dating for about a month. It was our first time (not in general, but with each other), and it just ended up being kind of weird? He was “finished” pretty quickly, but he was sweating like crazy, even though we did it only once. Not only that, but he was completely out of breath, like he had just ran 100 miles in the sun or something haha. Even when we showered together he just washed himself off really fast and got out. And even when I tried to have sex again a few hours later, he just didn’t want to at all. We are both in our mid twenties, is this lack of drive and energy normal for a man his age? Like I mentioned, he just smoke and use Lexapro, could those things have caused this? I'm so confused, I've never seen this before.

i have had depression and anxiety for six years now. i have used zoloft in the past(max dosage was 100 mg.) but did not like the side effects(drowsiness, cloudy, bad memory, etc.), i am now on lexapro(10 mg.) and like it so much better. is lexapro an SSRI or is it a MAOI? i just don't understand why a much smaller dosage of lexapro would be more helpful than a large dose of zoloft? i have also been on lexapro for 9 months now, and have not had to increase my dosage.
for those who have used lexapro before, did you have any problems with it, such as needing to increase your dosage? also, i have been taking hydroxy cut with my lexapro, and it seems to cancel out the drowsiness because of the caffeine in it. does caffeine have an adverse effect with anti-depressants?
