• Have any long time Lexapro users experienced morning sweats?

I've been on lexapro for about three years. Over the past three to six months I've noticed increased sweating in the morning. I walk to the train (about 1/2 mile) everyday and carry a decent amount of stuff with me, but when I walk the same route home in the evening/afternoon, I don't sweat nearly as much. Any ideas?
I start sweating after the shower (mainly due to humidity now) but by the time i get to the El stop, i'm sweating a lot. It takes me the whole 30 minute commute plus about 15 minutes to cool down. I don't have "night sweats" though.

• Lexapro users, how long before I feel effects of drug?

I've been on Lexapro for anxiety for almost 2 weeks. I'm still not feeling any improvment in my anxiety. I've had several panic attacks and still just feeling nervous all day , everyday. I read that some people feel the effects of the drug after 1 week, but it can take up to 6 weeks to feel the full effects. My question is for those who have used this for anxiety, how long did it take you to feel the effects of this drug? I'm just praying that I can live a normal life w/o anxiety and I'm waiting for this to kick in and help me out. Any advice would be great.

My aunt needs opinions from Lexapro users about the downsides of it. Any fatigue or emotional problems? Like Anger...etc. While using Lexapro?

I just started Lexapro a couple weeks ago. I took 10 mg for two days and started to feel like I was going to jump out of my skin. So my doctor told me to work my way up to the 10 mg. 1/4 tablets, 1/2 ....and so on. I have take it and really have not had any side effects doing it this way . I have been on the whole 10 mg for two days so far and I am feeling a bit tired and I am no where near what I was before. Thank God!!! Is there anyone else that had this happen? Could you share your experiences? Thanks for your help.

I have gained 10 pounds in the past month from Lexapro. I dont need to gain weight. What can I do to stop it. I am ALWAYS hungry.

I am going to be starting Lexapro on Wednesday for GAD and Depression. I dont know anything about this drug. What am I in for. Will it change me in any way. I have heard that some people get the "zombie like feeling". Should I be concerned about it. I go to school all day, does the school have to know that I am on it.

• Lexapro and Brain Zaps... need help from lexapro users?

I have been on Lexapro since May and things are going very well with it, the one downside is it seems every time i have a cold or head congestion i get brain zaps regularly when i move quickly or turn around. Is this common? Its very frustrating. Could anyone explain why this is happening? I am aware that this happens when coming off of lexapro, but i am still currently taking my recommended dose daily. Can anyone help with info???

for me my paranoia is always gonna be there in some way, but it DOES make me function better and keep me somewhat tapered through the day untill it wears off of course..also my dad who is a doctor says it is supposed to be in effect for 24 hours...but i notice it wears offf withing 22-23 hours and throughout the day it is not as strong as it was when i initially took it....it hasn't helped in a monumental way but it has helped to a degree...that's what i'm hoping it does...

I have been prescibed lexapro and took it for two days until I masturbated and was not happy with the results. I did some research and found the use of the SSRI's can and do cause sexual side effects that can last for a couple of weeks or for the rest of your life. When I masturbated, I didn't have a problem getting hard, it was the near ejaculation stage that was werid. My balls were pulled up so tight it almost was painful ( i'm used to them hanging low until right before cumming) and the orgasm was not what I'm used to and there where like only three contractions during ejaculation when i'm used to like 10 to 15. They say that they have not done studies on this drug and side effects for men, but I would suggest they do so, because if that was my orgasm for the rest of my life I would need some kind of drug to keep me from the depression.

I was not prescribed lexapro for depression, it was for "nervous stomach" issues.

My doctor just put me on Lexapro. Can I drink alcohol with this? And what can I expect from taking this? Please share your Lexapro experiance with me. Thank you!
