I've dropped from 147 to 127 in one month, and have lost all appetite. I only crave sugar and sweet stuff. Once in a while I will eat a big meal but that's it. Whats going on with that??

I have been on the anti-depressant Lexapro now for a little over a month. I have never been over weight and when I started taking it I was 126 lbs (I am5'5) In fact, I often overeat and eat several times a day and seem to never be satisfied... until Lexapro. Since I began taking the meds, I have lost 7 lbs due to the fact that I am rarely ever hungry, don't have cravings, and don't get that "happy" feeling after I've eaten. I have heard that Antidepressants cause weight gain, so why have I lost weight??

I was just put on Lexapro after being on Effexor 150 mg for 16 months. In the 16 months I was on Effexor I gained 47 lbs without any changed to my diet.

I've gained weight on Lexapro and really want to lose it. Is it possible to lose weight? It seems exercise is not as effective for weight loss while taking Lexapro. Would walking 45 minutes help me lose weight?

I was taking Lexapro for two and a half years and gained 12kg, which was upsetting for me, some horrible person told me I looked pregnant and made me want to stop taking it.
I started tapering my dose down to 10mg every second day.
How long until I start losing all this stomach fat?
And I tried dieting while I was on it, I lived on non fat yogurt and salad for a week and didn't lose a thing!!!

I have had a weight gain of about 30 pounds while on Lexapro, and I am not weaning myself off of it. Has anyone had success in losing the weight once they have gotten off the drug? And by the way, my eating habbits actually got alot better while being on it.

I've been taking Lexapro for about a week now and my family along with myself have noticed that I've lost weight. Am I going to keep losing weight? Is it all in my head? Am I going to start gaining weight?
My fear is that I'm going to end up gaining a bunch of weight being on this medication.

I started Lexapro, only 5 mg, about a month ago. I have lost 10 pounds, unfortunately I am already too thin as it is and dont want to be losing weight. Is this a side effect anyone else has experienced. My doctor says it may go away, but not sure. I also have had a sudden diagnosis of proctitis after starting lexapro, which has led to bleeding.

i am 14 years old and i was currently put on the pill lexapro for mild depression. i way 150 pounds on a good day and 156 on a bad day. i hear that lexapro can either cause weight gain or weight loss. anybody on lexapro that lost weight?
