My wife has bronchitis and she takes regular medication called lexapro, lamictal, and seroquel for bipolar disorder. She recently was told to buy robitussin cough and congestion syrup for her throat. It says on the bottle not to take this with maoi's (monoamine oxidase inhibitor) and certain drugs for depression and psychiatric emotional conditions. the cough syrup is just a cough suppressant and expectorant. is it ok to take this syrup with the medications.
