• How are drug costs determined?
|
How are the prices of prescription drugs like Lexapro and Paxil (Non-Generics) determined? I'm not talking about the cost after insurance, I'm talking about the flat cost of a bottle of pills before any aids are factored in. What factors determine that cost?

• Anyone taking or have taken the prescribed drug 'Lexapro'?
|
I have been currently taking Lexapro for 6 months now. It's been my second day not taking it, only because my insurance has changed and it's a process to get my prescription filled again. I'm a little worried that if I don't take my dose soon I'll start experiencing
some major with drawls. Anyone familiar with this drug and what the with drawls might be and how soon those symptoms kick in?

• is this an okay prescription drug combination?
|
This morning I found out that my mom is on a lot of different prescriptions for several different medical conditions. I went through her medicine cabinet while she wasn't home to take a look at what all she's taking, and noticed that they're not all from the same doctor. This makes me wonder if they all would have all been prescribed together had they came from one doctor. If anybody knows about this sort of thing, some insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
The medicines are:
methocarbamol
lexapro
clonazepam
metoprolol er succinate

• Drug test, marijuana, and prescription drugs?
|
Hello,
I have a drug test tomorrow morning and I'm freaking out. It's for a brand new job I got and the last thing I need to do is to pass the test. Why am I concerned?
I don't smoke pot anymore. I used to a few years back but not anymore. I do live with a roommate that does smoke on a daily basis. Even though I don't smoke it, I am around her when she smokes. For example when we're in the living room watching a movie. She will smoke and I won't.
I'm the type that worries and gets paranoid a lot so this has me thinking that even though I haven't smoked in months, being around her might make me test positive.
I'm also concerned about prescription drugs. It's been about three weeks or so since I've decided to come off my meds. I was taking 300 mg of Wellbutrin XL, 30mg of Lexapro, 300 mg or Seroquel, and 2.5 Xanax a day. Like I said, I stopped taking three of them about 3 weeks ago and have taken Xanax once or twice during these last few weeks to control anxiety whenever I can't on my own.
Seriously, does anyone know if any of this could pose a risk to me not passing the test? I have my Xanax prescription bottle but don't have the other three since I've finished them and threw it away. I figure I can always get my doctor to provide proof that she prescribes them to me.
I'm more concerned about the Marijuana.
Thanks!

• Pre-employment drug test - question?
|
The employer (a pharmacy) told me that after the drug test, I would get something in the mail that I'm to bring into the employer who will officially hire me. I've never done it this way before, though. Shouldn't they send the results directly to the employer? Are all businesses different? I only glanced at the form, but they had the employer's corporate address on there. Maybe they send the results to them first, then I get something in the mail? It's been two days and I haven't heard anything - I don't expect not to pass it, but I just want to get the ball rolling. I don't remember how much time it took in past tests.
Also, will prescription drugs like Lexapro show up on this?
