Hello everyone
I've been taking Lexapro 10mg for about 5 months and am kind of uncomfortable about the fact that I am taking this med.
I wanted to ask if this medicine effects your memory in any way. Has anyone heard of this side effect of Lexapro?
Secondly, because of the fact that my doctor got angry at me after I asked if I could quit, I thought i would give the internet community a try.
How does one quit Lexapro healthily? Please share some of your experiences.
It would be great help if the community can answer these 2 questions.

I got diagnosed with depression a week ago and the doc prescribed me with lexapro, 10mg, daily.
These side effects are kind of weird and wondered if anyone else had them. I take the med in the morning with breakfast as recommended and throughout the day I have these weird yawning fits that don't go away, sometimes I have a tightness in my throat as well. I feel slightly nauseous after a certain period of time after taking the pill, this is accompanied by dry mouth.
One other thing I dreaded having is the delayed ejaculation. I mean hey i dont have a problem with going a long time, but still, it takes a lot to get me off.
The most disturbing thing is the constant disconnection with reality, you feel emotionless in a way, and along with it I get random anxiety episodes where I my heart starts beating and I get worried for no reason..
Do any of these negatives go away after awhile? I am liking the benefits of taking this because overall I do have more energy and I feel better..

A little over a week ago, I cut my Lexapro 10mg in half, and took the 5mg for about 4 or 5 days. Since then, I've been having panic attacks and feeling anxiety. Is it normal for this to happen when going down just 5mg? Also, a few days after taking the whole pill once again, I've been feeling side effects (dizziness, headache, etc.) all over again. Is this because my body is adjusting to 10mg again or what? Please help! Thanks.

also i hear you can become dependent to certain medications, is Lexapro one of these? how long should i stay on the medication, so far im set for a month

Started Lexapro 10mg, 5 days ago for PMDD and mild anxiety. Am feeling better, but having some side effects. The ones that are concerning are a strange almost metallic taste in mouth and 2 nights I had a strange burning/tingling sensation from the waist up, kinda like a hot flash without the sweating?? Didn't last long only about 2 minutes. Is this a normal side affect? I put a call into my doc and they said they will get back to me.
I am wondering if 10mg is too much for my body to handle, perhaps 5mg would be a better dosage??
