I took a weed brownie for the first time last night, and am on lexapro. I had my first panic attack, started crying to the point that I couldn't stop, couldn't breathe almost, and was seeing hallucinations.
Do Marijuana and Lexapro have any chance of negative side effects together? This experience was unsettling for me, and I am waking up now at 5 pm feeling weak and tired.

has anyone taken lexapro and had any bad side effects like suicide attempts or thoughts of suicide or anything bad like that? my doc prescribed me lexapro n some1 my hubby knows told him his sister was on it and she started having bad suicidal thoughts and they had to take her off the meds right away. im worried now that this will happen to me. i have not started the pills yet and i wont have anyone to watch over me n be able to tell if my mood is getting better or worse. idk what to do. all i know is i am depressed n anxious and tired and angry and sad and a bunch of other emotions all tucked inside me n i am afraid im just going to explode 1 day. so im just trying to decide if i should take the lexapro or if i would be better off w/out it. if u r on lexapro and u feel better now than u did b4 u started taking it let me know. if u were on it and it made u worse let me know. i know every person is different so it could effect me in a total dif way but i would just like to know what the majority of people feel while on this medication. also does it make any of you feel like a zombie? i was on meds b4 that made me totally emotionless my friends said i was like a zombie.
yeh see there is a warning for lexapro and this is increased suicidal thoughts and behavior. so i wasn't thinking about that until my hubby told me about what he heard so now im thinking its going to happen and that's bad to think bad stuff when u start new meds. n my doc that i am seeing i just met so her putting me on meds the 1st day meet her doesn't say much about that. n i am going to see a psychiatrist next week. so hopefully maybe just talking will help.
as a matter of fact just talking about it on here even to complete strangers is actually making me feel better.

I cannot seem to know whether the lexapro isn't working correctly, or if it's me! I have akways had depression and really bad anxiety along with some ocd. I have been on lamictal for years which really levels me out, but seem to not do well with ssri's. i have just started my 5th one, which is lexapro. After 10 days I seem to have vivid dreams, worsenng of anxiety and definate worsening of ocd. I am pretty tired all the time with no desire to really get up. Is ten days enough time that it can even start doing this? People have told me definately. I am thinking about starting pristiq.

I have been on lexapro 10mg for years and my doctor just recently increased it to 20 mg. I can't sleep and at times I feel manic, what did you experienced on lexapro or as it was increased and di they go away and when?

i'm currently on lexapro....and have smoked every day for the past week....what i notice is that the next day i will be a little more agitated and disoriented,and then my meds will calm me again

I take 20 mg of Lexapro & I took it every night when I was first prescribed it. Then I started forgetting to take it, now I forget so much that I hardly take it at all... Some times I'll take it for a few days and won't forget a single time, but then i'll forget for like.. a week. Now, I'm always dizzy & nauseated. The dizziness doesnt really feel like dizziness. It's kind of in my stomach, but has the same effects as dizziness. It starts to become hard to balance. It starts to make me nauseated, and I throw up in my mouth.
Other things you may want to know,
-I'm under alot of stress atm, with it being christmas time, ect.
-My periods been really messed up since i've started taking it. I used to be every month on the 19th around 6am it would start to spot.
Could Lack of Lexapro be causing this? Is it possible?
If not, what could it be?

Ok, so im in highschool...and for past year ive been anxious and getting more and more depressed, so before it got worse my neuorogist put me on lexapro. I really dont want to have bad side effects, and i was wondering if when im in class...i will get any side effects on this drug that will embarras me? Im known as the "outgoing" funny kid, who loves to have a good time. No one will ever expect me to be on an anti-depressant (so im not tellin anyone), but will this effect my classroom studies and my friendships etc? Like will i start feeling sick in class, etc? Please help..when is the best time to take this medicine? I just took it now at 6:00 pm before we eat dinner (going to see if i get insomnia, if i do i will take in morning)...i also woke up at 4 in the morning last night with a mild headache which wouldnt go away (not a throbbing headache) : (I also have a soar throat right now..not related to lexapro...could be allergic which my headace could also be allergic)....please help.
I really want people who are on lexapro to answer...especially people around my age. Will it affect me in the classroom, will i get sidefeects in class room? When is best time to take it..how long do the side effects last???? When will i notice side effects?
