• What are the side effects when you stop taking Lexapro?

I have been on Lexapro 10mg for about 2 years now and have gained about 40lbs!!! I tried weaning myself off awhile back but I felt horrible! Lightheaded, dizzy, etc.....any suggestions???

I have read how a lot of people have horrible side effects from not taking lexapro even for one day..
i have taken it everyday now for about 2 weeks and feel more like a zombie.
A few months agoi would forget to take it 4-5 days at a time and wouldnt have any side effects. But now that i am on it again there is no sex drive. I feel like cutting down my 20 mg to 10 mg a day or go every other day

Anyone else taking or know someone who has taken Lexapro and stopped? I'm easing myself off of them with doctor's help because of pregnancy and I hate hate hate these side effects. I get what feels like electric shocks through my body and bright flashes when I blink, especially w/ sudden movements. This feels horrible; my doctor knows but there's really thing I can do. I want to just stop, period.. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge as to how long these side effects will last?

I generally get very very nauseous when just taking an aspirin. A common side effect to Lexapro is nausea. I was wondering if anyone out there has taken lexapro and experienced the nausea and what you did that helped you get through it and how long did the nauseous side effect last? Please help!

I started taking lexapro a few days ago for OCD. I wanted to start taking them years ago but I was too afraid of the side effects. So far I haven't seen any, which is making me cautiously optimistic that it won't be that bad. How long will it take before I see the full range of side effects appear?

i have started 5 mg of lexapro two weeks ago, i have days where i have massive headaches and stomache aches and general weakness and fatigue. mouth kinda dry also. my anxiety and depression arnt as bad but still there and i know i have to give the med about a month. anyone else experience these side effects when first taking the medication?
