my dr prescribed me 1 50mg tablet of trazodone in the evening (for insomnia). my question is, is it anything like lexapro? when i was 15 i was on lexapro for a few yrs, then stopped because i began using medical marijuana to treat myself. 2 yrs ago my new dr tried to put me back on lexapro, i went home took 1 and about a half hour later i started to vomit, and didnt stop for 7 hrs when i finally had my husband rush me to the ER and i was there for almost a day with IV's giving me all sorts of fluids and anti-vomiting medications. i just want to make sure that the trazodone is not going to do the same thing to me, as that was the WORST experience of my life. thanks in advance!

I am about to begin a treatement and before I take these medications I need to know their side effects, testimonials if they actually help with anxiety and depression, and if there are any natural alternatives.

I was diagnosed with Schizoaffective Disorder Bipolar Type & my doctors have put me on Celexa, Trazodone & Lexapro. I do not like taking these medications and I do not know why. I pretend like I do, but in reality refuse to take them. Why am I doing this? The Trazodone I just don't like it. It makes me feel like I want to lay down and sleep all day sometimes. Other times when I take it I can go and go for days. Why is this? Also, I have to take two a day and I'm on the 150 mg. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I am only 18. Is there another medicine that would better suit me?

i have depression and borderline.
i got put on lexapro, trazodone and triliptal.
trazadone for sleep, and triliptal for mood swings. but before i got put on it i got asked if i had anger issues. but my mood swings arnt like im happy then angry, its like im really depressed then alright again. like when im in a low im suicidle and want to self harm but when im not in a low those thoughts dont even cross my mind. im not angry, just sometimes irritable.
but why would he choose to put me on one med over the other
[i was in the hospital when i got perscribed these i dont think the doctor took enough time to get to know or even listen to what was going on with me]
