I took lexapro and the side effects were horrible so my doc gave me Zoloft for my anxiety disorder,I just havent taken it cause im worried it will have same side effects as the lexapro is it true??I do also take Xanex but dont want to be addicted.thanks

i have GAD... (general anxiety disorder) its gotten a lot better on its own, from my better life management...but its still there, the doc mentioned these...which one is safer?
i know ALL meds have side effects, but im sure someone told me that like 15% of people have effects(which is a lot) from zoloft...thanks

I was on 100 mg of zoloft for about 3 years back in highschool mainly for social anxiety...i then made the dumb mistake to stop taking it..my anxiety came back and the dr put me on lexapro...bad side effects..so now im back on zoloft 75 mg....it just doesnt feel the same way it use too....im out of it..cant focus..foggy vision...tired...ive been back on it for over a month.....do you think that its not going to work now??

I am diagnosed with major depression. Symptoms included lack of interest in everday life, feelings of worthlessness, guilt, anxiety, hatred toward oneself, numbness, compulsive masturbation, oversleeping (during the worst times I would sleep around 18 hours a day), lowering of intelligence, aggressiveness and inability to adapt to my environment. I also ate lots of foods with high sugar content for energy boosts.
I'm taking Zoloft, started about 2 months ago. Slowing increasing my dose (now on 50mg). I was taking Lexapro before. My side effects that i'm experiencing so far are feeling completely numb/asleep, craving sugary foods and starches, bad migraines, horriffic nightmares, weight gain and diziness.
I really don't want my sex drive to go away now too. Does Zoloft actually work??? And does it take away your sex drive???
Still am having the same feeling as before that the depression causes.

Ok my doctor put me on zoloft and depicote(spelling may be wrong sorry) but zoloft made me really sick and I wouldnt ever eat so he took me off it.. But my mom just became an M.A.(medical assistant) like a month ago and she just one day decided to take me off the depicote(i'm sorry if its spelled wrong) and a few days ago she brought home a bunch of samples of Lexapro( like enough for 3 months) that she got from her work(because they have alot of samples of stuff at her work). So anyways I decided to look up the side effects of Lexapro but everywhere I look it only says side effects for adults taking Lexapro. Does that mean a 15 y/o girl shouldnt be taking it? Does it mean the side effects that I will have will be worse then what the sites say(since it says side effects for adults)?
